Second-hand Euro pallets can be an economical option when the correct grade is available, but the UK pool is finite and quality can vary widely.
Grade A used Euro pallets
Typically cleaner and better presented, Grade A pallets are sought after for customers that want a used pallet but cannot accept heavily weathered or repeatedly repaired stock.
Grade B used Euro pallets
Grade B pallets are normally more visibly used and may show darker timber, wear or repairs while still being serviceable for appropriate applications.
Why availability changes
Used pallet supply depends on pallets returning to the open market. As good pallets circulate, wear, damage and repairs can move stock from higher to lower grades. Large users switching from new to used pallets can also put extra pressure on the available pool.
When to consider new pallets
If your specification is strict, demand is regular or the used market cannot provide consistent quantities, new Euro pallets may offer better supply security.
